We wanted to do a little project for the wonderful people over at D&AD who work tirelessly each year to promote and inspire our industry. We created a piece of work that focussed on their core brand, the humble pencil. The main image was created with 2000 pencils, 5 sharpeners and 5 creatives all locked in a room for the day. Once the core visual had been created we then set about developing a concept for an ad campaign to encourage the creative community to enter their work into their professional awards. The outcome was a beautifully simple piece of work that totally embodied the brand, unfortunately the piece never ran, but the main visual has made it to the walls over at D&AD HQ.
